Aloha, I’m Miho—founder, mother, and wellness coach. My passion for holistic health has been a journey of over a decade, encompassing nutrition, cooking, and overall wellness. Earth and Maker was born from my desire to inspire a love for nourishing food, help parents prepare delicious and healthy meals for their families, and commit to sustainability to benefit our planet.

The idea for creating the perfect lunchbox emerged during my time as an early childhood teacher. Observing the children’s lunches, I noticed common issues: leaking containers that mixed fruit with dry crackers, plastic lunchboxes and ziplock bags that aren’t great for the environment, and numerous small containers. It became clear that visually appealing lunchboxes encouraged kids to eat more, as we eat with our eyes first.

This observation led me to design The Nourish Box—a lunchbox that addresses these problems and more. It’s 100% plastic-free and non-toxic, ensuring no harmful chemicals leach into the food. The name Earth & Maker represents our mission to “honor the earth” and “nourish the maker.” Every purchase decision we make has the power to positively impact our planet.
